Kyriacos Theodorides joined George Y. Yiangou LLC in 2002 as Partner heading the Litigation Department. He is now leading a team of 8 lawyers.
He has extensive practical experience in advocacy and case handling and he specializes mostly in commercial disputes, arbitration, banking and finance, company law, mergers and acquisitions. Kyriacos’ practice focuses mainly on commercial litigation and dispute resolutions relating to corporate, banking and insurance matters. He has represented local and international banks and factoring institutions in civil litigation before the District Courts and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Cyprus. In addition, he handled multi-jurisdictional cases for the issuance of freezing injunctions (Mareva Injunctions), Norwich Pharmacal and Anton Piller Orders and Orders for the appointment of Receivers and Managers.
Kyriacos’ practice extents in advising Receivers/Managers who have been appointed by Banks under Floating Charges.
Furthermore, from 2009 until 2020 Kyriacos served as the Treasurer of the Board of the Cyprus Bar Association, the Secretary and Treasurer of the Advocate Pension Fund and represented the Cyprus Bar Association at the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE).
